As de Coupe

from The Conver Tarot de Marseille, blocks of 1760; this printing c. 1809-1833

A cup like a piece of architecture: a hexagonal foot, a gadrooned gold bell, and above it a crenellated superstructure with towers and a dome. Less a drinking vessel than a reliquary or a fountain; the Marseille ace of cups is a building you could almost enter.
