The Star, printed LE TOILLE with a masculine article where later decks write L'Etoille. A nude woman kneels at the water's edge with two jugs beneath a large star and its smaller companions. Jean-Claude Flornoy, who restored this deck, read her as pregnant; the woodcut leaves it open.
