The Hierophant

A pope-like figure with a triple crown and a triple cross, two tonsured acolytes kneeling before him, crossed keys at his feet. The Marseille name is the Pope; Waite used the Eleusinian title Hierophant, the one who shows sacred things. Tradition, teaching, the institution that carries a belief from one generation to the next.
