Cavallo of Cups (Natanabo)

from The Sola Busca Tarot, c. 1491

Natanabo, the Cavallo or knight of cups, a winged bearded rider on a horse with a cup in hand. The name is Nectanebo, the last native pharaoh of Egypt, who in medieval legend was Alexander the Great's true father. The court of swords belongs to Alexander; the deck knows the story.
