A crowned prince with a scepter rides a cubic car under a canopy of stars, drawn by two sphinxes, one pale and one dark. The sphinxes replace the Marseille horses, an idea that goes back to Eliphas Levi; the pair of opposed animals pulling one vehicle is the whole lesson of the card in miniature.
