Amitié

from The Grand Etteilla, printed c. 1875-1899, to Etteilla's design of 1788

Two swords crossed over a bare horizon at dusk. Upright Amitié, friendship; reversed Faux, falseness. Crossed blades read as alliance upright and as treachery when the card turns.
