A woman crowned with leaves sits on the ground playing a flute, a tall ornate fountain beside her, a gilded disc at her feet on a flowered meadow. Poetry is not one of the seven liberal arts but the engraver added her, with Philosophy and Theology, to bring the group to ten. The fountain is the spring of the Muses, and the flowers are gilded in places.
