Le Soleil

from The Conver Tarot de Marseille, blocks of 1760; this printing c. 1809-1833

A broad-faced sun sheds drops over two children standing before a low brick wall, one resting a hand on the other's shoulder. Usually read as the twins of Gemini or simply as friendship; Waite kept the wall but replaced the pair with a single child on horseback.
