Jupiter crowned and seated inside an almond-shaped mandorla, an arrow in one hand, an eagle perched above his head, small figures sprawled on the ground below, scorched or struck by his bolts. Lettered IVPITER XXXXVI. The mandorla is borrowed from images of Christ in majesty, and the use of it for a planetary god says a lot about how freely the set mixes Christian and classical forms.
