Saturno

from The Mantegna Tarocchi, c. 1465

Saturn as a bearded old man in a long robe, leaning on a staff, raising a small child to his mouth to devour it, more children scattered on the ground, and a curling dragon or serpent above. The planet of time and melancholy, eating his children. The Cleveland sheet is creased and rubbed, and part of the lettering has gone, but SATVRNO XXXXVII is still legible.
